In scripture, there is no such thing as disconnected or independent Christian. Church membership is the fulfillment of scripture in (Romans 12:5*) as we make up the body of Christ. (Romans 12:5)

To be a Christian, is to belong to the people of God.

membership FOUNDATIONal tenets

As a Baptist church, we believe church membership includes:

  • Jesus Christ is our Lord and head of the Church. Therefore, it is more important to be a member of the Body of Christ, and not just a member of Logan Street, as the two are not the same.

  • Church Membership is critical to the life of our church. The congregation is the authority granted by God to handle the matters of the church.  In addition, every member represents the church in the world. How we conduct ourselves serves as a testimony to be received by the world.

We learn about and proclaim our faith in worship services, and in Christian development classes.

Membership goals

As members we seek to:

  • Serve the Lord, in the church and in the world

  • Love and be loved.

  • Commit ourselves through our time, talent, and treasure.

The church is the living Body of Christ, and it is our hope that you grow and become an active member in the body. Each person in Logan Street Missionary Baptist Church is important.

We thank you for the gift of your life and your ministry among us.

Logan Street has helped me grow in my spiritual walk. I felt welcomed by Pastor Seymour since my first visit.
